Our landfill policy
We have adopted a stringent minimal landfill policy, aiming to divert as much waste as possible from landfill sites.
This has been achieved by implementing on-site recycling systems for both cardboard and plastics.
Any general waste that cannot be recycled is redirected for energy recovery, underlining our commitment to responsible waste management and resource efficiency.
Digital transformation
We are undergoing a digital transformation aimed at streamlining our processes and significantly reducing paper usage.
This initiative aligns with our broader goal of adopting digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency while minimising our carbon footprint.

Staff awareness
To ensure our team is actively engaged in our sustainability efforts, we regularly publish our monthly waste stream figures in our internal team newsletter.
This transparency keeps everyone informed and involved in our progress towards reducing waste.
Recyclable grey pots
In 2021, we made a significant transition from black pots to using 100% recyclable grey pots.
Our grey pots are made entirely from recycled materials and are fully recyclable, reflecting our commitment to sustainable horticultural practices.
Sustainable shipping
Our products are delivered using returnable trolleys or reusable, recyclable pallets with cardboard sleeves. The wooden pallets we buy are recycled, and end users are encouraged to re-use them and in some cases return them.
Additionally, the wrapping film used in our packaging is 100% biodegradable, further contributing to our sustainability goals.
Supplier collaboration
We have established agreements with our suppliers that enable the return of plastic crates, trays, and other packaging materials for reuse.
This promotes a closed-loop system, reducing waste and encouraging the continual reuse of materials.
