Verbascum chaixii (nettle-leaved mullein) is a member of the Scrophulariaceae family. This perennials exhibits a columnar upright growth habit and is characterized by its semi evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Verbascum chaixii can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing aspect and exposed exposure. It thrives best in chalk,loam soil types and should be placed in a full sun position.
