Salvia 'Blue Spire' (was Perovskia) (perovskia 'Blue Spire') is a member of the Lamiaceae family. This deciduous shrub exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc), and is hardy through most of the uk even in severe winters. may not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. many evergreens suffer foliage damage and plants in pots will be at increased risk. and features a foliage fragrance.

When fully mature, Salvia 'Blue Spire' (was Perovskia) can reach an ultimate height of 1–1.5 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers east–facing, south–facing, west–facing aspect and exposed, sheltered exposure.
