Agapanthus praecox 'Albiflorus' (African lily 'Albiflorus') is a member of the Amaryllidaceae family. This perennial exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of tender – cool or frost-free glasshouse (1 to 5ºc), and is tolerant of low temperatures but will not survive being frozen. except in frost-free inner-city areas or coastal extremities requires glasshouse conditions in winter, but can be grown outdoors once risk of frost is over .

When fully mature, Agapanthus praecox 'Albiflorus' can reach an ultimate height of 1–1.5 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing, west–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk, loam, sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun position.
