Berberis x frikartii 'Amstelveen' (barberry 'Amstelveen') is a member of the Berberidaceae family. This evergreen shrubs exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Berberis x frikartii 'Amstelveen' can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers east–facing,south–facing,west–facing aspect and sheltered,exposed exposure. It thrives best in chalk,clay,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun,partial shade position.
