Tilia x euchlora (Caucasian lime) is a member of the Malvaceae family. This tree is characterised by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy (very cold winter [-20 to -15ºc]) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe, with many plants grown in containers becoming damaged unless given protection.
When fully mature, Tilia x euchlora can reach an ultimate height of over 12 metres and a spread of wider than 8 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers a south–facing, west–facing, east–facing, or north–facing aspect and a sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun or partial shade.
