Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Red Head' (Chinese fountain grass 'Red Head') is a member of the Poaceae family. This deciduous shrubs exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H3 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Red Head' can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres.
