Ajuga reptans 'Atropurpurea' (dark purple bugle) is a member of the Lamiaceae family. This perennial exhibits a matforming growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, sand soil types and should be placed in a full shade, full sun, partial shade position.
