Product description & Growing guide

Lonicera fragrantissima (winter-flowering honeysuckle) is a member of the Caprifoliaceae family. This deciduous shrub exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterised by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy (very cold winter [-20 to -15ºc]) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe, with many plants grown in containers becoming damaged unless given protection. It features a flower fragrance.

When fully mature, Lonicera fragrantissima can reach an ultimate height of 1.5–2.5 m and a spread of 1.5–2.5 m. For optimal growth, it prefers an east–facing, north–facing, south–facing, or west–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun or partial shade.
