Trachycarpus fortunei (Chusan palm) is a member of the Arecaceae family. This evergreen shrub exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc), and is hardy through most of the uk even in severe winters. may not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. many evergreens suffer foliage damage and plants in pots will be at increased risk. .

When fully mature, Trachycarpus fortunei can reach an ultimate height of Higher than 12 metres and a spread of 1.5–2.5 metres.
