Prunus x subhirtella 'Autumnalis' (winter-flowering cherry 'Autumnalis') is a member of the Rosaceae family. This tree exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterised by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy (very cold winter [-20 to -15ºc]) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe, with many plants grown in containers becoming damaged unless given protection.
When fully mature, Prunus x subhirtella 'Autumnalis' can reach an ultimate height of 4–8 metres and a spread of 4–8 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers a north–facing, south–facing, west–facing, or east–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position.
