Parrotia persica (Persian ironwood) is a member of the Hamamelidaceae family. This deciduous shrub exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. When fully mature, Parrotia persica can reach an ultimate height of 4–8 metres and a spread of Wider than 8 metres. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun, partial shade position.
