Cedrus atlantica Glauca Group (blue Atlas cedar) is a member of the Pinaceae family. This conifer is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – very cold winter (-20 to -15ºc) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe. Many plants grown in containers will be damaged unless given protection.
When fully mature, Cedrus atlantica Glauca Group can reach an ultimate height of Over 12 metres and a spread of Wider than 8 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers west–facing or south–facing or east–facing aspect and exposed or sheltered positions. It thrives best in chalk or clay or loam or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun.
