Phlox subulata 'Emerald Cushion Blue' (moss phlox 'Emerald Cushion Blue') is a member of the Polemoniaceae family. This perennial exhibits a matforming growth habit and is characterised by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy (very cold winter [-20 to -15ºc]) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe, with many plants grown in containers becoming damaged unless given protection.
When fully mature, Phlox subulata 'Emerald Cushion Blue' can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers an east–facing, south–facing, or west–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position.
