Artemisia dracunculus (tarragon) is a member of the Asteraceae family. This culinary herbs exhibits a columnar upright growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H6 and features a foliage fragrance.

When fully mature, Artemisia dracunculus can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing,west–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun position.
